Editing Category Extensions

== General ==
The Category Extensions are a [https://www.speedrun.com/hce?h=HZD-Smack&x=xd150wr2-dlor0mrl.81pmmv81 leaderboard] hosted on Speedrun.com formerly hosted on an [[Excel Leaderboards|Excel Spreadsheet]] created by Wolfsquish. Both [[Horizon Zero Dawn]] and [[Horizon Forbidden West|Forbidden West]] have categories on the same Category Extensions board. These leaderboards are home to categories that don't fit the respective games' individual leaderboards, such as meme categories.

== History ==
A leaderboard for category extensions started being requested by community members in early 2021, but wouldn't be officially created until the 30th of July 2021. Until then, runs were kept track of on a leaderboard hosted on Excel managed by Wolfsquish. This leaderboard kept track of [[Smack%]], [[Abs%]] and [[All Bandit Camps|Nil%]] (now known as All Bandit Camps). When the official leaderboards were created, they originally kept track of the same 3 categories, along with [[All Cauldrons]], which was moved over from the Misc. section on Horizon Zero Dawn's main leaderboards. The leaderboards would later expand to include more categories.
