==General== The Waterlogged Mount Yeet is a skip used in the Smack% Category Extension that saves about 30 seconds and was discovered by Fleur_Bleue101 on the 25th of October 2021. It uses the Mount Yeet glitch to skip a good chunk of travel towards Greyhatch. ==How To Use== In order to perform the skip, the player will first need to have made sure to talk to Burgrend in Song's Edge in order to remove the invisible walls around the settlement. They can then head to a campfire situated near Song's Edge, where they will need to set up their mount between 2 objects laying in the small "settlement", before bombing the mount, starting an override, and then fast travelling to the Song's Edge campfire or settlement. Note that this skip is very inconsistent and will typically work less than 5% of the time. The player will then land near Greyhatch, and depending on the exact position, will either roll directly to Greyhatch, or roll towards the campfire closest to it until it is discovered, before turning around and fast travelling towards the campfire, after which the player will need to roll to Greyhatch. Initial discovery video of the skip: <youtube>fV_-5IgLaNk</youtube> ==Discovery== The Waterlogged Mount Yeet was discovered on the 25th of October 2021, when Fleur_Bleue101 was on his way to Greyhatch to do some skip hunting there for Smack%. He decided to try out a mount yeet for fun when to his surprise it actually launched him straight to Greyhatch. It was initially thought the skip saved around a minute, but this was later adjusted to 30 seconds to account for the need to talk to Burgrend. ==Implementation== The skip was initially not implemented due to the level of inconsistency, but JustSaft went ahead and implemented it regardless a few months later. Eventually, he managed a WR in Smack% with it, getting a time of 8:01 loadless. Overkiter and BrewingWeaver later followed suit and implemented the skip as well. The Waterlogged Mount Yeet was what finally made a sub 8 minute time achievable in the category. The first run to be completed with mount yeet by JustSaft: <youtube>b1J1FbiYZkc</youtube>
