General[edit | edit source]
An Infinite Loading Screen (ILS) is a glitch in Horizon Zero Dawn where the game will continue to load infinitely, essentially trapping the player.
Where It Happens[edit | edit source]
Infinite Loading Screens are on console only known to happen when fast travelling from having completed the Sawtooth to Mother's Heart. An ILS will occur here about 1/20 times. Beside this, ILS' can occur when using the Mount Yeet glitch. On PC, ILS' have been known to happen on different fast travels than the one to Mother's Heart.
Mechanics[edit | edit source]
It is uncertain why ILS' occur, but it might have something to do with the game being unable to get Aloy to the right position. It is unknown why, on console, only the fast travel to Mother's Heart is affected. Once an ILS has been triggered, the only way to get out of it is to close the game.
On PC it might be possible to get out of an ILS by Alt-Tabbing Out and In of the game window.
