General[edit | edit source]

New Game+ is a mode in Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West where the player starts with all their items and skills. The player will skip the Childhood section in HZD and will have the option to either skip or play the tutorial in HFW. NG+ is the opposite of New Game (NG), where the player starts from scratch. To start a NG+ playthrough, the player will first have to have completed the game in NG and have either manually or automatically created a NG+ loadout in Horizon Zero Dawn, before selecting the NG+ mode from the main menu. In HFW, the player will need to beat the game in NG, before heading to The Base and go to a small Zenith tower. The player can then start a NG+ playthrough with their current inventory and skills.

NG+ categories are referred to as NG+ on both the main leaderboards and the category extensions which make a distinction between NG and NG+.
